Tom began his engineering career through an elite 3-year apprenticeship with JCB World HQ, developing a comprehensive foundation in manufacturing, complex technical drawings, and precision engineering. After advancing into special projects and quality inspections at JCB, he spent several years expanding his commercial and technical horizons internationally in Australia.
During his time overseas, Tom worked as a senior project engineer and key client liaison on multi-million-dollar infrastructure and commercial developments, including major bridge construction projects for state government initiatives and facility expansions for global brands like Coca-Cola. In these roles, Tom was the primary interface between clients, project teams, and regulatory compliance assessors, managing on-site client relationships, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring strict quality standards were met.
Returning to the UK to join NTR in 2025, Tom combines his international project experience, business administration credentials, and deep engineering knowledge to drive commercial growth. As Commercial Director, Tom works closely with key accounts, including world-leading manufacturing and aerospace partners, to deliver tailored tooling refurbishment strategies, expand new business opportunities, and strengthen NTR’s reputation as an essential off-site partner.
Outside of work, Tom is an avid cycling enthusiast with a strong competitive background. Having trained on the Olympic Youth Cycling Development Programme and represented the East Midlands at a national level, he brings that same dedication, discipline, and energy to his role at NTR.
When he isn’t cycling or exploring the outdoors, Tom enjoys building bikes, diving into IT hardware, and spending quality time with family and friends.
